If you’ve ever tried online dating, you’ve probably undoubtedly encountered at least one of these six guys. But have you ever thought about why such a popular profile type is, and whether or not it would be a good friend? With these guys, you should read the red warning signs.
The ignorant man
He posts pictures of himself surrounded by beautiful, scantily clad women, as if he is searching for the next member of his harem. Or he posts a picture of himself wearing an “FBI: Female Body Inspector” t-shirt and thinks he’s cool.
Why you shouldn’t date him: This guy probably isn’t looking for anything remotely serious. If so, he probably lacks any intuition about how his actions will make you feel.
Mr. New Beginnings
In his profile, he talks about how he never thought he’d be dating again or that he’s new to the dating scene. It is clear from his account that he had just gotten out of a serious relationship, one that he hoped would continue.
Why you shouldn’t date him: He’s not emotionally ready to move on if he’s still thinking about where he just was.
Perfection
It prepares a specific list of attributes that you will have to measure. You must love cooking, be a certain height, be very sensual, speak three languages, and have traveled to at least five countries.
Why you shouldn’t date him: With a perfectionist, everything will likely be calculated and you will always have to adhere to some pre-set standards. He will not be able to adapt to change or just relax. Read on…

The narcissist
His profile details all of his accomplishments and why he is better than everyone else on the site. He said nothing about what he offered the woman, nor a description of the relationship he would like to develop.
Why you shouldn’t date him: He probably won’t care about your wants and needs, and will only focus on himself.
globaltraveller
His profile lists all the countries he’s visited, and his photo album is like a vacation slideshow. All of his photos show him from a distance, wearing sunglasses, in front of some international landmark. His profile reads more like a travel memoir than a personal narrative.
Why you shouldn’t date him: Traveling is great, and can be an important lifestyle aspect to share with your partner. But if his profile is too travel-focused and lacks more personal details, he may have intimacy issues. He may be the type of person who is always looking for the next great distraction from life.
The older man is “young at heart”.
He doesn’t care about the age limits written on your profile, and communicates with you as if he were your perfect partner. When you express discomfort with the age difference, he says, “Funny, I didn’t think age would be an issue,” or, “She’s only eight years old!”
Why you shouldn’t date him: If he doesn’t respect the age limits you posted, he is ignoring your expressed wants and needs. He likely thinks he knows what’s best for you, despite what you’ve expressed as important.
