Female narcissists tend to be more subtle in their personality and narcissistic tendencies, so they are harder to spot. It is difficult to distinguish between self-esteem and vanity in narcissistic women.
There are many narcissistic traits and characteristics of a narcissistic woman but there are 5 basic traits to keep in mind.
- Dress in a provocative way
By wearing seductive clothing, they are more likely to get noticed. Dressing in a provocative way increases their self-confidence and attractiveness.
They wear clothes that attract the attention of others but are completely mysterious. In turn, this attention increases their self-confidence but also fuels additional self-serving behaviors such as promiscuity or seduction.
- To be highly competitive
Narcissistic women believe that they are intellectually superior to others. They believe that people are jealous of her and jealous of her.
In turn, they use this as an excuse for their lack of meaningful relationships.
- Sense of entitlement
Narcissists believe they deserve “special treatment” while emotionally investing minimally in things.
They lack empathy and remorse for mistakes and mistakes. They will exploit or hurt people to get what they want.

Many of these behaviors are common in non-narcissistic women. However, the key thing to consider is how often these traits or characteristics are actually revealed.
Unfortunately, many of the red flags and traits of narcissists are overlooked in relation to women because the majority of people have a gender bias when it comes to narcissism.
Men and women should start speaking out about their personal or professional experiences with narcissistic women and men in order to raise awareness for both genders.
The preconceived notions that many people have who believe that narcissism exists mostly in males are wrong and we need to start recognizing narcissism in women.
Narcissism in women is becoming increasingly common, therefore, we need to educate and inform others to increase awareness of women and narcissism. It is not gender specific.
