I know you probably wanted fewer reasons, but what good is my personality if I give you half the advice you deserve?
Twenty reasons is a lot, but narcissists have a lot of things they secretly hate. And that hatred always starts with you; the person who does all these un-godly things to them (in their eyes, of course).
So what do you do with this dilemma? Do you stop being you, or do you just accept that you’re someone the narcissist secretly wishes you could be?
I’ll leave that thought with you when you get to the end!
What’s the purpose of hate?
Hate is what keeps the narcissist’s blood pumping!
Whether it’s hatred for you, or hatred for everyone else – you can bet that it’s inside every narcissist on the planet.

They have to keep it a secret because they need you, and hating you only makes them look like bad people.
1 You’re good at your job
You’re good at something, which in itself is a threat to the narcissist and their ego.
If you’re good at it, they won’t sit at the same high level as you, especially if they work with you.
If they don’t work with you, they’ll see both your intelligence and your motivation as a threat.
2 You’re Caring
Caring is a wonderful trait, but if it comes naturally to you, a narcissist will have a problem with it.
They crave attention and authenticity, and they work hard to try to fake it.
If it was as easy for them as it was for you, they wouldn’t need to spend a fraction of their energy pretending.
3 You’re a Good Listener
You listen without judgment or motivation. A narcissist can’t even imagine what that might be like.
All they know is how to listen and steal information to use to their advantage.
They hate that you’re a good person.
4 People trust you
Narcissists want automatic trust without having to earn it, but you see trust as a valuable trait in you and others.

This naturally makes people gravitate toward you, and narcissists wish they had that kind of influence. Unfortunately, the only way they gain trust is through deception!
5 Your Status
Do you have a good job? Are you a prominent figure in your local community? Do people trust and respect you?
Well – you’re setting yourself up for narcissists to hate. These are all things they dream of having for their own image.
How dare you?!
6 Stand Up for Yourself
And why wouldn’t you? If you haven’t done anything wrong so far, you’re being defeated in some way – it’s time to stand up and speak your truth.
You have every right to do so, but the narcissist will hate you for having that kind of courage and will label it as something wild like rudeness.
7 Nothing Bothers You
You don’t care, and even when the narcissist tries to bother you, you continue as if nothing is trying to breach your strong boundaries and focus on your life.

What does this do? Well, it makes the narcissist completely powerless to deal with you.
8 They Can’t Control You
The one thing they will hate about you is not being able to control you. Sure, they will try. What’s stopping them, right?
They’ll use the usual tricks, but if that doesn’t work, the narcissist will really hate you for being so strong.
After all – they are weak.
9 Your Reality Is Your Reality
And that’s not going to change for anyone!
Your perception of reality is the one thing a narcissist is likely to try to change first. In small ways, yes, but in very real ways.
They may look at you like you’re crazy for telling a story they know is true.
They may accuse you of being overly sensitive when they make a rude joke about you.
If you’re not the type to fall for these stupid tricks, they’ll know you’re not the type to mess with.
10 Your boundaries are strong
And no one has the right to step on them like they’re crushing eggshells!
You’re proud of the boundaries you’ve built over the years because they’ve kept the wrong kind of people from taking advantage of you.

11 Your worth isn’t determined by how they treat you
You know you’re a good, trustworthy person. You don’t need anyone else to remind you of that, least of all the narcissist.
How they treat you—if they get that close—doesn’t change how you feel about yourself.
Congratulations!
12 You can take them or leave them
Meh.
Whatever.
The magic is what it is, and you’re not really interested in these soul-attracting people.
You fall in love more slowly, and with those who are more genuine. Definitely don’t give your heart away just because someone told you how beautiful you are.
13 You Understand Narcissism
You see narcissists coming a mile away, like a cargo ship entering the horizon.
And what do you do? You alert them. They’re done before they even drop their anchor.
14 You alert them
There comes a time when it all makes sense, and you open your mouth to tell them.
You’re so toxic.
Boom. Nothing’s the same.
They hate you now because you’ll never forget who they are.
15 You’re Fearless
Narcissists have a lot of fears that they work hard to hide, but you seem unaffected by life.
You talk to people, admit when you need help, try new things, and change your perspective if it calls for it.
You’re open to being you, unapologetically.
What a pity for a narcissist.
16 You’re Not Brave – But You Speak Up
We’re not all brave, but speaking up regardless is what a narcissist hates. The idea of someone saying, “Hey, I know this is a weak thing to say, but…” is important.

Narcissists work hard to hide their vulnerabilities, but they hate it when you’re so open about yours.
17 You’re fine without them
Good for you!
And what a way to annoy them! They hate you because you’re fine without them. Their only goal is to be wanted and desired.
How sad, isn’t it?
18 You’re confident
Confidence comes from those who believe in themselves and trust themselves.
If narcissists can’t erase that confidence from you in the first six months of knowing you, they’ll hate you for being strong and resilient.
19 You do things they wish they could do
If they had the courage to take those risks. They may talk about it, but they never walk the walk.

20 You’re a Good Person
Being a good person by nature means giving of your time to others without conditions or judgments.
You see the best in others, and give peace, love, and compassion a chance wherever you can.
That’s what makes the world a better place, right?
A narcissist will never love you for these qualities.
Hard!
