Everyone wants to meet their soul mate. In fact, one of the most common questions I receive in my readings and coaching sessions is-

“When will I meet my soul mate?”

We have many soul mates in this life but their goal is the same – they are here to challenge and awaken us so that our souls can evolve into a higher state of consciousness.

Soulmates always arrive when we are ready for them and not a moment before. They arrive when we are ready to learn the lessons we were destined to achieve.

Soulmate relationships often don’t last forever, this is because sometimes the relationship can be very intense or there is a certain karmic energy to the relationship that sees it coming to an end once the necessary lessons are learned.

Soulmates can also be friends and relatives; They don’t always have to be romantic partners. Regardless of this, you will always feel a strong and lively connection or past life history together.

Many of us spend years obsessing about meeting our soul mate but fail to notice what it is we’re really looking for. When we ask for a soul mate, we are really asking to grow and grow in awareness, and not understanding this can block the energy from coming to us at times.

If you really want to connect with a soul mate, you need to align with your soul mate. You need to discover who you are, honor yourself, and start following your heart. When you align with your true self, you are instantly in the throes of meeting your soul mate.

Alternatively, if you are done with soul lessons for now and are just looking for a companion to share the rest of your life with, what you want to ask or show is your partner.

A life partner is like a companion or friend to whom you feel a strong attachment. It may not be a deep spiritual connection like a soul mate, but there will be a mutual sense of trust, understanding and respect. A life partner is someone who is reliable and considerate of your needs and desires. Of course, a life partner is also someone you are attracted to, love and care about.

While you will still learn lessons from your partner, they are more about providing support and giving you a guiding hand as you navigate your own soul journey.

Meeting your life partner is usually not something you prepare yourself for spiritually or energetically like you would a soul mate. Instead, it takes emotional and mental preparation and physically putting yourself out there.

It is possible that your soul mate is also your partner and it is also possible that you and your partner will develop a deeper spiritual connection – it all just depends on the direction you choose to direct.
